I usually train at ARETE BJJ, but I’ve also visited other gyms in Bangkok. I’ve only listed pros and cons based on my personal experience, so if some gyms have fewer details, it's simply because I haven’t trained there as much 😄
Just so you know, most Jiu-Jitsu gyms in Bangkok are well-run and have great coaching staff

1. Arete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- Arete Gym Thonglor Tip: You can either walk ~20 minutes from Thonglor BTS station or grab a motorbike taxi and tell them "Thonglor Soi Sip Sam" (ซอย 13)

2. Bangkok Fight Lab - Jiu-Jitsu MMA
📍 Near On Nut BTS

- Great mix of people from different backgrounds and disciplines
- Muay Thai and kickboxing available
- Classes in English
- First trial class is free
Cons:
- No air conditioning — bring the heat and the hustle
3. Ninja Academy
📍 Locations: Ekkamai & Sathorn
Notes:
- Ekkamai branch is more compact
- Sathorn branch is in a renovated house, spacious and welcoming
- Lately, most classes and focus seem to be at the Sathorn branch
Pros:
- Coach Adam has experience coaching for ONE Championship
- Marcelo Garcia even trained here before a ONE Championship bout
- Family-like atmosphere
- Classes in English
- Lots of French students and a French coach
- Yoga classes available
Cons:
- Best to use Grab (bike or taxi) for easier access

3. Ohana BJJ(오하나)
📍 Walking distance (about 5 min) from a BTS station
[Ohana IG] https://www.instagram.com/ohana_bjj/
Pros:
- Probably the most modern and clean facility among Bangkok gyms
- Fully air-conditioned
- Clean showers and restrooms
- Classes in English
- Free first trial class
- Located in a fun area with malls and shops nearby
Cons:
- You'll need to check in at the building's front desk to get a keycard
- As a relatively new gym, there aren’t a ton of colored belts yet

5. Pom Gym BJJ & Muay Thai
📍 Use Grab for easiest access
Pros:
- Korean black belt head coach
- Peaceful location — good for focused training
- Coach is known for solid pressure passing!
- Free first trial class
- Muay Thai classes available
- No air conditioning, but it actually felt breezy and fine
Cons:
- BTS access not super convenient — Grab is recommended
- Still a newer gym, so fewer colored belts for now

Bonus: Other Well-Known Gyms
There are many more BJJ gyms popping up around Bangkok! A few more names you might want to look into include:
- EMAC (Executive Martial Arts Centre): Known for intense training and high-level practitioners

- Bigfoot BJJ
- Bangkok BJJ
I haven’t trained at those personally (yet!) but I’ve heard great things, especially about EMAC.
